At the 2019FBS not only will attendees enjoy the wonderful scientific program, but they will also be provided with many networking opportunities through many of the social events taking place over the course of the symposium. These social events will include:
Welcome Reception - Sunday, July 28, 2019 - 6:30pm to 8:30pm - Rockies Room - included with conference registration
Finger foods, beer and wine in a casual setting - patio will be open (weather dependent)
Conference Banquet - Tuesday, July 30, 2019 - 6:30pm to 10:30pm - Main Hall - included with conference registration
The conference will end with a sit down dinner and awards reception recognizing the top presenters and celebrating the closing of the symposium
Outdoor Activity - Monday, July 29, 2019 - 1:40pm to 10:00pm - Location Dependent - additional cost
Enjoy the great Canadian outdoors through one of the many social events taking place during the Symposium. The purpose of these events is to foster social interactions with fellow attendees in addition to promote student and industry/academia relationships. Attendees can choose to participate (some activities contain an additional fee) in one of the following events:
- White Water Rafting - Enjoy an afternoon of white water rafting in beautiful Kananaskis
- Hiking - Enjoy a relaxing hike through the beautiful Kananaskis trails
Registration is required for the above listed outdoor social activities. Attendees can select their desired activity during conference registration or may register for the social activities separately below
