The 2019 Footwear Biomechanics Symposium will take place within the beautiful Pomeroy Lodge in Kananaskis, Alberta, Canada. The resort is conveniently located 90 minutes (120 km) from the Calgary International Airport and is surrounded by a vast array of hiking and biking trails that span the Kananaskis Village. Many other leisure and sport activities are within proximity including Nakiska Ski Resort (6 minutes – 4 km), SilverTip Golf Resort (40 minutes – 60 km) and the beautiful townsites of Canmore (40 minutes – 55 km) and the historic Banff townsite (55 minutes – 80 km).
The Pomeroy Lodge itself houses 191 guest rooms and 126 suites, most of which have been newly renovated. Room types include double queen, single king, bi-level lofts and multi-room suites. We have confirmed special rooms rates for a variety of room types for delegates of the conference at $222 CAD per night, which will provide delegates of savings of between $150 - $270 per night depending on the room type! Please be advised that there are a limited number of rooms available at the special discounted rate and the rooms will be available on a first come, first serve basis.
Delegates can pick from two room types:
- 1 Bedroom Bi-level Loft - 2 queen beds, sofa bed, 2 bathroom, balcony (pictured above)
- 2 Queen Standard room

The newly renovated Pomeroy Lodge contains five restaurants, pool and hot tub, fitness center and conference center which will house the 14th Footwear Biomechanics Symposium. Additionally, the Lodge recently opened the new Kananaskis Nordic Spa which features a relaxation lodge, five outdoor pools, five steam and sauna cabins, exfoliation room, winterized hammocks, fireside lounges, eight treatment rooms, massage therapists and the Two Trees Bistro.
